The mission is to support grantees and provide a platform for peer sharing of solutions to issues affecting the grantees’ program eligibility, participant outreach and recruitment, participant enrollment and retention, participant job placement, business engagement and partnerships.

PEER-TO-PEER SESSIONS 

Spring Convening Reflection and Action Planning Peer-to-Peer Call - May 22, 2024
This One Workforce peer-to-peer call is aimed at reflection and action planning following the virtual convening sessions focused on H-1B Rural Healthcare and One Workforce Grant initiatives. Through three topical breakout discussions, participants will share their takeaways and begin to chart actionable steps to align with their last year of grant programing..

Employment, Placement and Participant Tracking-Peer-to-Peer Call - January 30, 2024
This session focused on One Workforce grantees that are lagging with the entered employment performance measure. The One Workforce coaches identified a grantee support need for job placement and participant tracking.

Building and Sustaining Strong Employer Partnerships- Peer-to-Peer Call - November 9, 2023
This session grantees explored and discussed the challenges grantees are encountering with employer partnerships. They examined the three most common partnership models in which grantees and employers operate and demonstrate the Employer Partnership Management Tool.

The College Connection Supporting H-1B Training - Peer-to-Peer Call - October 10, 2023
The College Connection Supporting H-1B Training session facilitates a dynamic peer-to-peer learning opportunity, dedicated to empowering One Workforce H-1B grantees in strengthening their partnerships with higher education institutions, including both 4-year universities and community colleges.  

Program Staff Onboarding, Training, and Retention - August 22, 2023
Many H-1B One Workforce and H-1B Rural Healthcare grantees have expressed challenges with staff turnover. Whether it is losing the only staff with knowledge of the program and process, not having enough staff to manage the day-to-day program activities, or even a tight economy leaving the staff recruitment pool very small. Join us to hear from experts about helpful strategies for mitigating issues related to staff turnover including onboarding, training, and retention.

Outreach, Recruitment & Placement of Transitioning Military Veterans and Spouses Peer-to-Peer Call - July 17, 2023
This session focused on learning about transitioning military veteran services and how to locate and connect with them in their service area. Understand the transitioning veteran nuanced training, education, scale-up, and capacity building needs of this highly skilled, yet not civilian workforce ready participant.  

Effective Strategies for Retention & Completion Joint Webinar - Part 2 - June 27, 2023
Our goal is to provide resources and strategies for Rural Healthcare and One Workforce grantees, supporting effective program design, case management and coaching, supportive service, and other practices that lead to successful completion of training and credential attainment in preparation for employment or career advancement.

Designing High-Performing Incumbent Worker Strategies - Peer-to- Peer Call - May 24, 2023
This peer-to-peer call will feature a “mini-panel” of grantees who have some success in their Incumbent Worker services and performance. The peer call will also include opportunities for all grantees to share their challenges, as well as any successes with this target group.

Grant Monitoring: Keep Calm-You’ve Got This! - Peer-to-Peer Call - April 20, 2023
This session focuses on the resumption of in-person grant monitoring and many of the One Workforce grantees due for monitoring visits, many have expressed the need to know how to prepare for a successful monitoring visit.

Effective Strategies for Retention & Completion Joint Webinar - Part 1 - March 28, 2023
Our goal is to provide resources and strategies for Rural Healthcare and One Workforce grantees, supporting effective case management practices that lead to successful completion of training and credential attainment in preparation for employment. This two-part series will introduce a framework, strategies, and resources for supporting participants from initial outreach to generate interest through supporting and tracking completion or programming and associated credential attainment.
