Apprenticeship Program Resources Part 1
About
Apprenticeships: Closing the Skills Gap (CSG) grant managers often need resources and new ideas for developing and maintaining apprenticeship programs. The resources here cover multiple relevant topics from sector strategies to leveraging data for programmatic decision-making.
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has developed a rich repository of resources to promote high-performing registered apprenticeships across a variety of industries. Here you will find key resources focused on understanding the components of apprenticeship and the elements of creating and operating an effective apprenticeship program.

Grant implementation resources from this event focus on growing and diversifying registered apprenticeship (RA) and have resources on states’ strategies for RA expansion; sector partnerships and business engagement; capacity to develop, register, and support programs; diversity through apprentice pipelines; and the future of RA.

Because CSG funds apprenticeship programs, it is important to be aware of the Training and Employment Notices (TENs) and Training and Employment Guidance Letters (TEGLs) related to apprenticeships. Grant managers are encouraged to discuss with their FPOs which TENs and TEGLs apply to their CSG grant program.
Co-enrollment Across Apprenticeship Grants, Contract, and Cooperative Agreements
This synopsis of a webcast provides an overview of the department's co-enrollment policy for two key areas of apprenticeship funding: the H-1B-funded apprenticeship grants; and grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements that are-funded with apprenticeship appropriated funds through DOL’s Office of Apprenticeship (OA).
