- The VETS Apprenticeship Pilot aimed to connect and place transitioning service members (TSMs) and their spouses into apprenticeship programs prior to their separation from the military. During this one-year pilot initiative, VETS embedded 16 Apprenticeship Placement Counselors (APCs) at eight military installations across the United States to work with TSMs interested in exploring apprenticeship as a post-separation career pathway. The evaluation of the pilot is now available online. Slides and a one-page description provide an overview, and information about who to contact for more information.
- The Department of Labor’s Veteran’s Employment and Training Service (VETS) works to help veterans and separating military service members connect to career resources. Their Hire a Veteran page includes employment rights information, apprenticeship resources and employer resources.
